Not Too Late
A downloadable soundtrack
Description
Artist's note:
"First attempts at Renoise. I tried the risk because I learned it during the composition.
There are incredibly many possibilities, but time is running out and I am sending these two tracks that I would like to continue a little more😭
In terms of genre, it is a combination of 90s Jungle / DnB + a bit of Footwork and a lot of beautiful Synths.
Inspired by the PS1 / Dreamcast Era" music.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An arcade Time Trial "running game" (like Pepsiman for PS1), but here you're a Japanese schoolboy or schoolgirl and you have to reach the first bell in your school and run through crazy alleys full of even crazier traps and obstacles...
The game is meant to frustrate players at times as it is a fast-paced game full of quick reactions.
The streets are full of people, train tracks and various chaos and you have to try to bump into them as little as possible.
Similar to "Outrun", you can run up to a "Rival student" who has also fallen asleep, and if you outrun him, you'll get points.
There are also crazy creatures that are created when you run very fast
(by collecting various power up points)
the so-called adrenaline hallucinations arise and you may encounter, for example, "giant buttered toast".
-- Artist's Note --
"I just hate that cliché in anime where the character can't keep up and runs away with toast in his mouth. I hate it so much.😅"
During the run, it is possible to get a bonus in the form of a bicycle or even a skateboard or Rollerblades.
The goal is always to reach the school area (or other areas), where you will then see a table with your score, the remaining time and the number of accidents.
If you manage to complete a certain base score, you continue on to the next run.
Levels also vary by objective such as:
- Run to the station and catch the train,
- Make it to the department store before they close.
- To run to a sports match
- Maybe make it to the date on time
Some tracks and events will be different, depending on the choice of characters (Students).
The game should have clean low-poly graphics at the level of Dreamcast to Sega Model 3. Visually colorful and very dynamic in all directions.
